About Amia

A Story Pressed from the Heart

Some journeys don’t begin with a business plan. They begin with a moment that changes everything.
For AMIA, that moment came quietly—but it shook a life forever.
Our founder lost a close friend to a sudden cardiac arrest at just 34 years old. A young life, full of dreams, gone in a moment. Around the same time, he watched his mother’s health slowly decline—heart concerns, rising cholesterol, and the silent toll of modern food habits.
It planted a question that refused to leave: What are we really consuming every day—and what is it doing to the people we love most?

How It’s Made

Traditional Craftsmanship, Pure Nature’s Gift

Every bottle of Amia oil represents the legacy of Indian craftsmanship combined with nature’s finest ingredients. Our oils are extracted through age-old, time-tested methods that retain the purest nutrients, flavors, and aromas without compromise.

Traditionally cold-pressed by the authentic seeds of Rajasthan, our process honors nature and heritage to deliver oils that are both nutritious and flavorful.

step:01

Selection & Cleaning of Seeds

Only premium-quality seeds – black mustard, yellow mustard, sesame, olive, and coconut – sourced from native regions across Rajasthan and other parts of India are handpicked and thoroughly cleaned to remove impurities, ensuring purity and superior taste

step:02

Natural Drying

Seeds are naturally sun-dried to the perfect moisture levels, preventing foaming during pressing and improving yield and quality.

step:03

Wooden Ghani Pressing

The dried seeds are slowly crushed in traditional wooden Ghani (Kachi Ghani or Chekku), made from neem or babool wood known for antimicrobial benefits. This slow pressing at low temperatures (below 45°C) ensures no nutritional loss. The oil is mechanically extracted without heat or chemicals to preserve vitamins, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids.

step:04

Filtering & Natural Sedimentation

The freshly extracted oil is filtered through muslin cloths or cotton filters to remove coarse residues. It undergoes natural settling for 2-3 days to separate sediments without artificial refinement, retaining the oil’s authentic aroma and flavor

step:05

Packaging for Freshness

Finally, oils are packed in dark glass or food-grade tin containers that protect the natural qualities from light and air, ensuring freshness and longer shelf life.
